[log] Pray and Take
Who: The losers involved in the Pray and Take quest
What: These mice robbers really didn't deserve any of this.
Where: Domina's Church
When: Day 13
Other: Mice murder, injury
So. The local church has been taken over by diminutive mice-like creatures armed with bows and way too many arrows. One way or another, some of the residents of Home have heard about this and are on their way to do something about this.... whether out of the goodness of their hearts or because they're a hot mess looking for a fight.
Good luck!

Sure, there's some benefits. He guesses. There are beds
which he only uses if he's curled up with Chikusa in one, otherwise he prefers the floorand some forms of running water, sort of, and Ken's had more hot meals in the past week than he has for the past year before it. (People have been weird about it.) But as far as Ken's concerned, Kokuyo Land was infinitely superior. It had Chikusa, it had Mukuro, and nobody cared if he ate a bunch of junk food or found some weaklings to thrash when his energy levels got unmanageably high.He hasn't been able to take his energy and aggression out on anything since they arrived. He's considered going after some of the people at Home, but even without Chikusa's advising against it, he's got some brains of his own. He's stuck living with these people. And he doesn't want to be driven away from Home entirely, because this is the first place they wound up after being separated from Mukuro-sama. If they're going to find their way back to him - or, more likely, if he's going to find them - it feels like moving away from Home is putting greater distance between them. So he's not going to, and that may mean having to restrict his violence to elsewhere. And to things the residents of Home won't get mad at him for beating up.
So his ears had pricked right up when he heard the word 'bandits'. Bandits are bad guys! Nobody cares if bad guys get beat up! As short as the sentence 'leave it to me' is, Ken had already been accelerating toward the church fast enough that the usual 'byon' at the end of it was barely audible.
And in very short order, he's literally smashing into the church with wild abandon, hitting the doors so hard in Lion Channel that they fall flat to the floor with him crouched on top of them. His fangs are bared in a manic grin - which promptly transforms into surprise when he sees what he's up against.
He turns his head to look back over his shoulder.] Hey, Kakipi, they're mice!
[Mice with bows, Ken. The bows are the operative fact, and you will be shortly informed.]

His claws clack against the floor of the church as he enters, nose twitching and ears swiveling as he moves. He is on full alert and his head raises when he catches sight of the bandits. Which were mice armed to the teeth. He assesses them from where he was but doesn't take his eyes off from where he had spotted them.]

She is, however, sitting in an out of sight location high in the rafters taking notes. How did she get up there without anybody noticing? Wouldn't YOU like to know?]

...They're mice?!
[ Cute, hooded mice armed to the teeth with bows and arrows. Before she could continue marveling at the absolute cuteness and ridiculousness of the scenario, her body twisted to avoid an oncoming shot. So. Mice with a better aim than her. She huffed, carefully placing her glasses into the one of the pews, and prepped herself to charge. ]
