I don't think they really notice--the birds, I mean. They usually weave their nests out of a lot of things anyway--twigs, down, mud--all in the name of keeping their babies warm, so whether the hair is nice and thick, or not, it's all the same to them?
[Sara didn't have hers bound, but it was somewhat wavy anyway, especially down at the ends. For the moment, it was a deep, eggplant purple at the roots, that lightened to white at some of the ends. Probably not normal--at least, not the white...]
And we do, but Dread helps out with sweeping. The Judge can't, he hasn't got hands, and it'd be ridiculous to ask him to sweep with his tail. [He would probably also get offended. Cats and their dignity.]
