At least, that's what the usual mail pelican is frantically squawking about on the front steps of home with her feathers going everywhere as she flaps her wings.

And.... there are some very disconcerting dark clouds gathering around Domina that haven't yet started intruding on the sky around Home. Perhaps this merits some checking out.

To those that venture forth, they'll notice that Domina is eerily quiet as they step into it from the road. Both Domina's tavern and inn seem empty, which is a strange thing in itself. Anyone who's visited the town regularly will have noticed that those two places, for good reason, are often the most lively places in town.

Just where has everyone gone....?

Pre-Pelican Mingle

[Of course, before things start getting weird, it appears like it's going to be the same kind of morning as usual. By this point, no doubt more than a few people have gotten used to the pleasant weather and probably developed some sort of schedule.]

[And for those who aren't used to this all... Well. Feel free to get to know your fellow tree residents. After all, you all have something in common! First example: being randomly transported into a tree.]

This was not her tent.

Normally Sunset would be more disturbed from waking up somewhere strange, but with everything that had gone on in the last week, she could be excused to be completely okay with this.

Touching the necklace she wore with the red shard stuck inside it, it was a small comfort as she started down around the tree house, looking for a familiar face or maybe someone to ask.

If she didn't recognize you, she gave a smile and a polite "Hello!" and other times, if she did recognize something about you, she'd call out with a question in your name.

"Uuuugh."

A familiar voice, maybe, and a form that might be a blast from the past. Rainbow Dash hovered in midair with a hoof rubbing her chin and a look of patent disgust on her face as she looked up at the sky. This flying routine just wasn't going well.

Oh whoa, was that an equestrian pony?

Not only that, the mane was suspiciously familiar to Sunset as she looked up at her. Yeah, no doubt about it.

"Rainbow Dash!" Called out Sunset, waving at her. "Down here!"

"Huh?"

Who the hay was that?

Rainbow tucked her wings in, letting herself fall a dozen feet before catching herself with a few twists. The maneuver ended right at about head height.

"Uh, do I know you?"

"Kinda. Pony, stealing Twilight's crown..."

Which hey, wasn't the best way to introduce herself but she shrugged. "I'm Sunset Shimmer. Has Twilight talked about me much in your world?"

Rainbow's slow blink ought to say everything.

"Uhhhhhh, noooooo." Couple this with a slight retreat, because this just got super-weird.

"Oh... I guess Twilight hasn't spoken about me much then," said Sunset with a sigh.

Great, that sucked. Twilight you're letting your best friend down!

"So uh, I guess she hasn't said anything about the human world huh..."

"What, you mean here?" This was the only one she knew of, so what else could it be? Rainbow was getting more and more confused by the second.

"Uh no, I mean the world behind the mirror portal... wait, do you even know about the mirror portal and the other world?"

Darnit Timelines! Sunset groaned, facepalming a little.

Skyfire was still pretty confused about this entire situation, and he was still bumping into things as he wasn't used to his new size... but at least he didn't have to worry about wrecking as much stuff being twelve feet long instead of thirty.

He didn't mean to bump into Sunset with his tail, but she had her back to him and hadn't seen her as he was trying to turn around. Not that he hit her very hard with it, but it was likely enough to unbalance her.

Of course the moment he realized that he'd hit someone, his eyes went wide, he twisted his head around for a better look and he was quick to apologize. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see you! Are you alright?"

"Oof! No, no harm done I... whoa."

That was a decent sized dragon. She vaguely remembered that Spike was supposed to be a dragon, but when she had seen him a year ago in Equestria, he was in shadow and she had tripped on his tail. This guy wasn't too huge but he was bigger than a lot of Dragons that she knew.

"Yeah I'm fine, just a little dazed but I'll recover. You're a dragon, right?"

"Still, I apologize for knocking into you."

He was half expecting her to run screaming from him, but was pleasantly surprised that she just kept on as if it wasn't a big deal. Perhaps this place wasn't too bad aside from the surprise arrival...

At her question he nodded and replied with a "Yes." Since it was easier than trying to explain what he was all the time when most didn't understand, or thought that because he was mechanical that he wasn't really alive.

"Oh. Are you from Equestria then? Or have you heard of it before?" asked Sunset, wondering if this guy was an Equestrian Dragon.

Though, to be fair, he seemed a lot nicer than any other Equestrian Dragon she had ever seen before. Spike not counted.

"Oh I'm Sunset Shimmer."

He shook his head in the negative. "Equestria? I'm afraid not. I don't think I've ever heard of such a location before."

"My name is Skyfire, it's nice to make your acquaintance."

Humans seemed to fear him back on Earth, so it was interesting that at least so far, he was treated as just another person here. He had to wonder if it was just because of his new, smaller size, or if there was another reason.

It helped that Sunset was from a magic world and constantly dealt with magic in the last year or so. At least she didn't judge him as a possible jerk.

"Skyfire, nice to meet you. Did you just get here like I did?"

"It's nice to meet you too."

He nods and chuckles sheepishly, remembering his own arrival to the world.

"Just the other morning actually. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on to be truthful."

Skyfire wasn't used to people being nice to him anymore, nor was he yet comfortable with his new size and nerfed abilities.

"Yeah, same here. I was at camp when I woke up here. I'm glad at least I didn't arrive in my pajamas," said Sunset with a little grin.

"I really like your scales, they're polished well."

Chibiterasu had been dozing in the sunlight when his ear twitched and his eyes cracked open. He lifted his head up to look at the newcomer with colorful hair. Another human!

"Aroo?"

Colorful hair, and colorful skin. Most girls weren't Sunset's shade of yellow-orange either.

"Oh hello there," said Sunset, crouching down to look at the little... dog? Wolf cub? It seemed a bit too big to be a dog but she was more used to Spike.

"You're an interesting little one."

He could say the same about you, strangely-colored human. Chibi gets to his feet, still studying her. His tail flicks from side to side and his body language isn't aggressive, just curious.

Can she pet the dogs head? Is that a thing she can do? Give him scritches?

Sunset carefully held out her hand for Chibi to sniff. It smells of magic.

He sniffs the offered hand before gently nudging it and his tail wagging.

Awesome. Sunset started scratching and petting the dog-person gently, carefully giving it a rub along the ears.

"You're a cute thing aren't you!"

"Woof, woof."

He leans into the petting, his tail wagging some more as he does.
