What: A giant pumpkin is trying to take over Domina... or something like that.
Where: West Domina, past the residential area

At least, that's what the usual mail pelican is frantically squawking about on the front steps of home with her feathers going everywhere as she flaps her wings.

And.... there are some very disconcerting dark clouds gathering around Domina that haven't yet started intruding on the sky around Home. Perhaps this merits some checking out.

To those that venture forth, they'll notice that Domina is eerily quiet as they step into it from the road. Both Domina's tavern and inn seem empty, which is a strange thing in itself. Anyone who's visited the town regularly will have noticed that those two places, for good reason, are often the most lively places in town.

Just where has everyone gone....?

"I'd be less worried considering what I've been through," said Sunset honestly. "I'm pretty sure my world doesn't line up time-wise with this one."

"There's plenty of room to collect I'd imagine."

He looks intrigued by her comment, tilting his head a little. "How could you possibly tell?"

Skyfire does chuckle a bit at the mention of space to collect things. "That is true, but I do wish my tools had come with me." He held up one of his forelegs and wiggled the somewhat hand-like paws there. "These paws are not really made with fine control in mind. It took me years to create the set I have, er had, with items that I doubt I'll be able to find here."

"Experience mostly," said Sunset in that all too vague manner of hers.

"Tools? Maybe I can help make some. I'm pretty good at machines and science." offered Sunset.

He nods and moves on, clearly noting when she doesn't seem to wish to talk about it.

"I appreciate the offer. Perhaps when I figure out what materials I have to work from here I may take you up on that."

Skyfire sighs "Trying to find the right metals and materials was a struggle the first time. I have even less idea of what there will be to work with here."

Reformed or not, Sunset still guarded a couple of facts about her life close at heart until she could trust someone, even if she was a little relaxed around Skyfire.

"I guess that's what exploration is for," said Sunset, looking out the window at the distance. "There seems to be a town out there too. We might be able to find supplies there."

He considers that, then huffs. "I suppose that is true, I'll just have to hope I don't end up really needing them for something in the meantime." Skyfire was a bit worried that if he got damaged, he wouldn't be able to fix it.

At the mention of a town however, he flinches a bit. "It... might not be the best of ideas for me to go near a town." Sure, he was smaller now but he'd never had much luck trying to approach places with lots of humans.

"Oh, right, yeah I get you."

That makes sense. She figures it's cause y'know, dragon. Not everyone is going to be accepting of that.

Skyfire puts his head on his paws and sighs.

"Still, this is better than being alone..."

"Yeah, I can agree with that. Being alone sucks a lot."

But it was better they were in one place than spread out.

"Now if only I knew what to do with myself..."

He'd poked around Home and outside of it a bit, but other than that he'd not done much. Skyfire was still getting used to his smaller size and the loss of a number of abilities.

"You said you're a mechanic or something, right? Have you considered doing a minor workshop?" asked Sunset. "As a thought really."

[caelum_ignis_draconigena]

"More of a scientist... Still, for that I need tools and a place to work. For the future perhaps."

He gives her a half grin. "I suppose I'll have to find someone that has been here longer and ask a lot of questions." This was far from the worst situation he could have ended up in, so he might as well try to make the best of it in the meantime.

"For the future then."

Sunset nodded, considering she too had built a lot of her own electronics which had amounted to some very weird readings a couple of months ago. "Same here. I'd rather not stay idle."

"Indeed..."

Skyfire chuckles a little

"I suppose I should quit procrastinating and get moving. As much as I want to stay and talk, I really should try and at least attempt to find somewhere to get the things I need..."

"All right, I'll see you later then?" said Sunset. "After all, we're kind of in the same building."

[caelum_ignis_draconigena]

"Most certainly." He chuckles softly. "I'm in the fourth room on the third floor if you're looking for me later."
