What: A giant pumpkin is trying to take over Domina... or something like that.
Where: West Domina, past the residential area

At least, that's what the usual mail pelican is frantically squawking about on the front steps of home with her feathers going everywhere as she flaps her wings.

And.... there are some very disconcerting dark clouds gathering around Domina that haven't yet started intruding on the sky around Home. Perhaps this merits some checking out.

To those that venture forth, they'll notice that Domina is eerily quiet as they step into it from the road. Both Domina's tavern and inn seem empty, which is a strange thing in itself. Anyone who's visited the town regularly will have noticed that those two places, for good reason, are often the most lively places in town.

Just where has everyone gone....?

[He frowns and sighs.]

Fine...but if this turns out to be a bad idea we back off and go to town to ask around to try and find something else to use as ammunition.

[Skyfire didn't like the plan, but he's willing to try it.]

[Rainbow Dash is all cocky confidence -- this is a plan she came up with and it relies on her being awesome, so no sweat, right?]

Alright... [Skyfire got himself ready to get in position, then paused.]

Grab you where and how tight?

[He's got pretty decent sized paws and could grab her around her middle, though he's also able to grab her by a leg or something, and the latter could really hurt her. While he's aware that he might be over thinking things, he'd rather not hurt her if he could help it.]

I... don't want to end up hurting you...

Wherever. Legs, tail, flanks -- you don't have a thing to worry about! [She slaps him on the shoulder, roughly.] I'm as tough as they come. You aren't gonna find a pony who can handle it better than me! Well, maybe Applejack, but that's a tie. At best.

[He doesn't even flinch when she smacks him on the shoulder, and depending on how hard she hit him... might get a sore hoof for her efforts. Hitting him is like hitting metal covered with a layer of 'flesh'...]

[Rainbow's tough. Surprisingly tough, and if she has to tuck her hoof behind the other to shake it for a moment, that's all she'll show.]

Man, you're really worried about this, aren't you? What are you, some kind of deathgrip professional?

Worried? I... Yes I suppose I am... He sighs and winces a bit.] I'm strong enough to uproot trees and crush rocks fairly easily. I can control myself, but I need to know when to stop first.

[She'll easily catching him glancing to the areas of destruction where he'd left what amounted to pumpkin paste in some places, and wincing. He'd let his temper get away from him, which was thankfully a rare thing.]

((ooc: Skyfire will agree to go with her plan once he's sure he's not going to accidentally hurt her, unless you want them to do something else. I'm good with whatever. XD))

Look, let's test it out, okay? Grab on. [She twists around, sticking a rear leg out so he can latch onto it.]

Alright... [He cautiously reached out and wrapped one of his rather large hand-like paws around her leg.]

Just be sure you don't try to be tough. I need to know when it becomes uncomfortable and when it starts to become painful... I could end up hurting you really badly accidentally if you try to tough it out.

[Skyfire's paw around her leg feels almost like vices covered in leather and velvety fur, hard metal with a bit of padding with a soft cover. His grip starts loose, and he's very careful not to grip in a way that will pinch her... but as he slowly increases pressure, she'll quickly realize just how right he is to worry. He really does have the ability to do a lot of damage if he's not careful.]

[Rainbow's cocky expression rapidly becomes one of alarm as the pressure increases.] Whoa whoa whoa WHOA! You're not gonna need to squeeze THAT hard to pull on me! You just need a good grip!

[Skyfire's eyes widen in alarm and he's quick to back off on the pressure. He's looking very worried and unsure.] Are you alright? I'm sorry! [He's holding his paws well away from her now, not wanting to touch her again until he knows she's alright with it.]

This is exactly why I wanted to check... That really wasn't all that hard of a squeeze for me... [His sensors were still all mucked up from the size change and whatever else happened when he got here, so he had to learn how much pressure was safe to use on people and things all over again.]

Well excuse me for thinking you were gonna just grab only as hard as you needed to! [This is Rainbow's fault for writing checks with her mouth that her body couldn't cash, so of course she denies all blame and tries to pin it on him.] But look, the plan's still good. You're strong enough there's no way they can pull me away. We'll get one of those pumpkin guys no problem.

Sorry... but I did need to find out what 'as hard as I need to' was... [He still winces and looks guilty though. A 'good grip' for him could easily break logs after all.] I could have hurt you really badly by accident...

[Skyfire tries to center himself mentally and nods at her. Still, he'd give her one more chance to back out.] Alright. If you still want to do this, I suppose I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

I said I was in, right? We're still gonna do this.

[Without giving him any more time to prepare, Rainbow zips back over to the pumpkins, waving her forelegs at them dramatically.] Hey uglies! You guys are so dumb you couldn't catch me with your vines if I was standing still!

[The pony promptly gets one lashed around her waist for the trouble.]

[The moment she was in range of him, Skyfire grabbed on to her and carefully dragged her out of the patch. The moment they were clear Skyfire used his claws to free her.]

Alright... Lets see what kind of damage I can do with this thing...

[He lets go of her and tosses the smaller pumpkin up and down a few times, then tosses the pumpkin up in the air and slams his tail into it, sending it flying towards the 'master' pumpkin in the distance.]

See? Totally easy! [Rainbow shields her eyes with a hoof, the better to watch the pumpkin bean its master solidly and practically explode.] All right, direct hit!

[She sticks out a hoof for him to bump.]

[Skyfire nods a bit, glad that he could still aim at least. He's not fond of fighting, but he's not a pacifist either.]

I wonder how long it will be before they start avoiding you instead of grabbing... [Granted, they didn't seem very smart.]

[He isn't entirely sure what she's trying to do with that extended hoof, so he tries to give her a 'hand shake' instead of a bump of the hoof.]

Whoa, wait -- [Rainbow sticks her other hoof out to block his approaching paw before he can ruin her cool.] Curl up those fingers! Get 'em nice and balled!

[Skyfire pauses and looks confused, but still does as she asked.]
