[Closed] You can lead a horse to water...
Who: Maurice and Gremio
What: Gremio and Maurice hit up the local tavern.
Where: Home and the Tavern in
When: Week Two
Five times.
Five times he'd seen that weird little pelican in people-clothes make her way past the home tree. Maurice slunk away from the window, ears back, and let out a huff before pacing the lower floor. This was crazy. If this was going to be his life now, there was no way in hell (or whatever this place had that served the same purpose) that he was going to go through it sober.
Occasionally he found himself struck by a sudden giddiness because he was on a fantastical adventure. But not today.
Maurice gallumphed down the front steps of Home and swore as he stumbled.
"I need a drink."

Other times, he had to push away the bemusedly-frustrated memories of someone else and then his concern would start up. Maurice had earned Gremio's ear since he first met him, out in the garden that first afternoon. It drew a small frown to his features when he heard him stumbling - again, perhaps still being a better term - down the steps. He had no worry that the centaur would find his feet, but he did wish he had a way to help him speed the process.
A familiar laugh escaped his lips unbidden at the grumbled words, and he found himself wondering if Maurice had even gone into Domina yet.
"Well, the town would be best for that. There's a bar there." He mentioned it as he stepped around the root along the path to the door, nodding toward the man. "I need to go get some supplies, if you'd like some company."

While he hadn't spoken to Gremio much since their first meeting, he did catch himself wanting to follow him whenever he saw the man out and about. He'd been so patient with him.
"Oh, hey...are you sure that's a good idea though?"
He shielded his eyes as he looked skyward. The sun was brilliant through the shifting leaves overhead.
"What if a dragon swoops down and picks us off like a chicken-hawk or something?"

"It's probably a better idea than starving, though. I don't think I've seen any dragons in the time I've been back and forth between the town and here." He replied, glancing up in turn. The day, despite the brilliance of the sun, was cool enough to be comfortable - even in his cloak.
"Domina itself actually isn't too far a walk. It should be fine."

"Let's go."
At least they couldn't get lost on the way to town. Domina being the only town there was in this weird wildscape.
