♪ Our house ♪ in middle of this tree ♪ our house
Who: Everyone
What: The first morning of an adventure begins.
Where: Home
When: Day 1
Other: Be courteous and warn for any of the usuals in your thread subject title if it gets to that point.

You wake up to a serene and idyllic morning.
Outside, a pleasant glow from the sun fills the room including the small crannies in which the beds are tucked. All windows have been latched close, but it's easy to see a gentle breeze ruffling the leaves of branches which loom overhead. Faintly, bird song can be heard from outside. In this place, it'd be a simple matter to close your eyes again and drift back to sleep.
There's simply one problem: this is not where you last went to sleep.
Waking up properly will display not only how the picturesque and cozy little room stands out in stark contrast to where you should be, but that you are sharing this space with someone else. Depending on things, they might be very mundane or very... unusual. Either way, they seem just as bewildered as you are. The good news is that at least all the things you immediately had on you at the time are right nearby the foot of your bed along with what seems like a small gift- a small pouch of some sort of coin. (500 Lucre, although that might not be immediately realized anytime soon.)
Exploring the rest of the house shows it to be otherwise quite empty, except for some writing utensils and paper in what appears to be the study along with basic kitchen tools in, well, the kitchen. There's no food, however, and no decoration. Venturing outside onto the grounds reveals an expansive but not particularly well tended estate including another building that is fairly run down. Attempting to venture down the path from the front door out into the world reveals... well. Nothing. It's a fruitless endeavor.
However, not for long.
Hajime Iwaizumi will be the one to find what appear to be a few discarded children's toy blocks. The Colorblocks immediately seem off in some way, strange even as they should seem inconspicuous. Something about them will compel him to pick them up. The nature of this apparent toy will not be obvious until he ventures near the edge of Home himself. A sound, almost like distant bellchimes, will start to emit from the Colorblocks.
When exposed to the air, suddenly they emit a glow and shoot off into the sky with all the brilliance of a falling star. Its trail is both noticeable and easy to follow, curving an arc through the sky until it falls some distance away... and its impact bursts an aurora of colors through the distant and dimmer sky, encircling the site. As the whirlwind of color fades, what appears to be a town can be just made out...
That is the town of Domina.
Some OOC notes:
➸ Prior to the activation of the Colorblocks, the only books which will be filled out in the Study will be "Artifacts" and "Visitors".
➸ After Domina has been unlocked and some characters have explored the town, "People" and "Locations" will be filled out in the Study as well.
➸ To see who your character is initially rooming with, check the Home page. These rooming assignments are not permanent or mandatory by any means, and characters can change them whenever. Officially letting me know will be present and explained in the next mod post coming in a week's time, but for now we can play it relaxed and loose. Just don't burn down the tree in the meantime.

[ She placed her hands around his hand. Carefully, she tested Bokuto's wrist, seeing how conditioned it was. Deciding it'd be better to be safe, she wrapped her fingers around his wrist and kept her thumbs pressed against the back of his hand. ]
I'll protect your wrist like this. And, watch this. See how your palm is facing you like this? Well, all I have to do is put a little pressure on your wrist and...
[ She pushed a little on the back of hand, creating a twisting motion. But it was slow, and trained. Just to make sure she didn't actually hurt Bokuto.
Hey, she trained with Lambo , Bokuto. There were worse students to take in. ]
Usually in the early morning. But, if I'm a little lazy, after sunset. When do you have practice for volleyball?
no subject
He watched at the motion, thoughtful.]
You really could break a wrist, huh? Show me again.
[Not that he wants to break anyone's wrist, but it would be helpful to know. While he believed this place was all sunshine and rainbow farts at the moment, he also believed that all could change without warning.
Bokuto glanced up at the question, grinning.]
I go for a run in the morning, but I only get to do volleyball practice in the afternoon and into the evening. We could train after my run, if you don't mind waiting. You could come too if you wanted!
no subject
[ Repeating her movements, she held Bokuto's hand and wrist in place. The twisting motion was even slower, but I-Pin pressed a little further as to cause, at most, a little twang in his wrist. Not enough to hurt, but enough to cause discomfort. ]
See? And that's just a little bit of pressure. Of course, this is only an isolated movement. Once you feel comfortable, I'll teach you the application. All right, your turn now!
[ She released his hand and held out her right one.
At his suggestion, she beamed. ]
I think I might! A good run will be a nice warm up!
no subject
Oh, cool!
[Still, he had to frown slightly when I-Pin offered to let him try it out on her, looking a bit dejected.]
Are you sure? I wouldn't want to hurt you on accident!
[Because of his own clumsiness and inexperience.
He did nod though, a bit more chipper at the thought of having a running partner.]
Yeah! And it'd be nice to have company.
no subject
Don't worry about it! Just go slow with the technique. I'll tap if it begins to hurt.
[ She grinned up at him, hoping to ease his nerves a little. ]
Then, it's settled! We're running partners.
no subject
[Bokuto would never be able to live with himself if he managed to screw this up and hurt I-Pin, who had been nothing but kind to him. Still, he took her offered arm, grip light and gentle.]
Let me know right away okay? Don't try to act tough!
[Because that's how minor injuries became serious ones, in Bokuto's experience. He placed his hands like she had done, gently applying pressure while keeping his eyes on her face to make sure he could stop at any sign of discomfort.]
no subject
Hmm... Oh, Bokuto-senpai, you're too tense. [ She used her free hand to reach up and pat on one of his hunched shoulders. ] Just pretend my wrist is like a joystick. Don't be tight, just angle and control it. If you don't, you don't apply as much pressure.
no subject
Okay. [Brow furrowed in concentration, he tightened his grip, mimicking the movement again.]
no subject
There!! You got it! If you pushed a bit further, you could break the bones in the wrist!
[ Excuse her odd happiness in explaining mild mutilation, Bokuto. ]
no subject
Really? Cool!
[I-Pin what kind of monster were you creating?]
Show me something else! [Then, as if realizing that might have been pushy, he cleared his throat, crossing his arms over his chest.] If you don't mind.
no subject
I could teach you more! But, we should probably get our bearings around this place first. How about we set up some days where I'll teach you martial arts, Bokuto-senpai?
[ It didn't even occur to her what type of disaster this could have been. She was just so excited to have her first possible student! ]
no subject
Bokuto deflated a bit about having to 'get their bearings first' but he could be patient in specific situations if there was going to be a reward for it. And learning martial arts was definitely a reward.]
Sure! We should do alternating days! That way when the court gets set up, we can alternate between volley ball and martial arts!
[Please feel free to applaud his genius. Or single-mindedness.]
no subject
Sounds like a plan!
[ Then, it hit her like a sack of bricks.
She gave a sheepish laugh and waved her hand dismissively. ]
But, I guess before all of that, we should probably make sure we have secure food and shelter.
no subject
Well the tree seems to be working for shelter so far. But you might have a point about food... Have you seen anything that might be useful?
no subject
[ After a slight pause, she shook her head. ]
Uhm, nevermind, that's probably not a good idea. What we find here could be poisonous.
no subject
[Bokuto... No...]
no subject
She smiled, the type of pitiful please-no-don't-do-dumb-things smile. ]
...I don't think that's a smart, or safe, idea.
no subject
[He looked put out, before sighing slightly.]
I guess we could ask around...
[Look he can be reasonable, even if it's not as awesome as eating weird things.]
no subject
[ See, Bokuto-senpai, there were safer methods, you just had to take the time to think of them. ]
is this okay to start wrapping up? : O
[He brightened at the thought of getting to interact with some of the locals, starting to jog restlessly in place.]
Whoever gets the least amount of information has to do one hundred push ups!
[Bokuto why...]
of course!
You're on! And the loser has to treat the winner to lunch!
[ And, like that, she was off. ]
