[Event] Pumpkiller
Who: A very big and magical Jack-O-Lantern and you
What: A giant pumpkin is trying to take over Domina... or something like that.
Where: West Domina, past the residential area
When: Day 33
Other: Likely some violence. Check the post for more info and ask any questions here.

At least, that's what the usual mail pelican is frantically squawking about on the front steps of home with her feathers going everywhere as she flaps her wings.
And.... there are some very disconcerting dark clouds gathering around Domina that haven't yet started intruding on the sky around Home. Perhaps this merits some checking out.
To those that venture forth, they'll notice that Domina is eerily quiet as they step into it from the road. Both Domina's tavern and inn seem empty, which is a strange thing in itself. Anyone who's visited the town regularly will have noticed that those two places, for good reason, are often the most lively places in town.
Just where has everyone gone....?

oh boy just what they need lmfao
So, yes, he recognizes Chikusa by sight but not by voice, nor have they ever really met. Which means the first expression Chikusa ever garners from Sam is a disgruntled, slightly bitchy look. He's still concerned when he discovers the words are coming from someone young and who doesn't immediately appear to have any sort of weapon or way to defend themselves, though. Not currently in any immediate danger either, but Sam would feel better if he were over in the park and away from these antics entirely.]
What? Fighting sentient vegetables? Yeah, this is a new one even for us.
[He has to turn his attention back to the task at hand though because his legs are now completely entrapped in vines. He's about point two seconds from being felled like a tree.
TIMBER.]thems fightin words
[ Dean is a little preoccupied here but that doesn't mean he doesn't hear the comment come from off to the side, the one that screams that he and Sam suck at this, don'tcha know. And really, Dean's not in the mood. He's not in the mood for a lot of shit right now but none of it is anything he's talking about. But at the very least, he's got something now to take his emotions out on. Granted, it involves swinging his sword like a maniac, but he doesn't really care too terribly much about his style so much as what he's trying to chop to pieces. The important part here is destruction and demolition, and that's all Dean cares about while he tries to spear a pumpkin and then shake it off the point of his sword. ]
Skellington a little too much for you to take on, huh- Christ, Sammy-
[ And then Dean's trying avidly to wrench around behind himself to loop an arm around Sam's bicep to keep him from- oh god, please don't fall on him, PLEASE DON'T FALL ON HIM. He cannot untangle you from the vines if you fall on him at the same time!! ]
can you even fight him when pumpkins are kicking your ass tho
[The two people he's watching, however? Well. There's no good way to spin being felled by tiny pumpkins, no matter how many there are.]
[Chikusa stays riiiiight where he is. Still too much effort, still too much danger when there's a pair of weirdos flinging their weapons around.]
[...Although.]
[Raising a hand to his mouth, he raises his voice a little more.]
If they kill you, I'll take your weapons.
[It's not even a request.]

You're not actually helping! You shouldn't be here anyway, go wait with the others in the park, we'll-- [He's about to say "we'll take care of this," but he realizes how ineffectual that would be given their current predicament, so he bites it back down and shoulders his bow, pulling Avandrel's knife from its sheath on his upper arm to slice the vines well enough he can kick the pumpkins back.]
Dean, will you just focus on covering me instead of going after everything tooth and nail? [He seems focused way more on pure destruction than on any sort of strategy, and Sam can tell.] I'll aim for the Pumpkin King.
[Because yes, he had actually gotten that Jack Skellington reference. Not that he really thinks shooting the largest one full of arrows will take it down quickly or anything, but it's worth a try, right?]

He's dealt with more irritating things lately - having a teenager wheedle insults against them is hardly as bad as having his liver t-- Nevermind.
Focused on the task at hand, his own task of slashing and hacking, his attention whips around when Sam makes the demand to be covered. It makes Dean's expression scrunch for a moment, not exactly wanting to be covering Sam, when he should be protecting him. He should be the one leading the way - he didn't sell his soul so that Sam could get himself killed by the Giant Pumpkin and it's oddly nerve wracking, more so than usual, but he at least tries to keep his hackles down as best as he can. ]
What're you gonna do, Sammy- beat it to death with your bow?
[ .... okay, so he could have thought of something more inciteful to say, or at least encouraging but, he nods his head up towards the Big Boss before glancing back around, which is the best he's gonna give. ] You know I got your back.

[Still, at least it looks as though they’ve got things a bit more under control now. There doesn’t seem to be as many tiny pumpkins now trying to tangle around them, and there might actually be a plan going into action. He shifts from where he is, glancing over the chaotic battle scene.]
It’s not going to do anything, you know.
[Yeah, the peanut gallery is still in full affect. And, no, he’s not helping still.]

He's tempted to respond to Dean's question with "No I was thinking maybe I'd sing it a lullaby" but now's not really the time, so he keeps his snark in check and settles for a slight roll of the eyes and then a nod at the rest of what he says. He does know that Dean's got his back, it wasn't and has never been in question. Sam just needed him to be more focused and less bent on hacking things to pieces.]
Try and keep me clear of the smaller ones while I'm aiming?
[Then their audience is speaking up again and Sam sets his jaw, grits his teeth, trying not to lose patience. If this guy had actual suggestions, Sam was willing to listen, but so far it sounded like he was only having fun by distracting them with rude comments rather than anything useful. So Sam's outright ignoring him now, lifting his bow and setting an arrow before taking aim and firing at the largest pumpkin in the lot...
...And hits one of the large vines around the thing that quickly gets in the way instead. Sam curses under his breath.]

Keep 'em coming buddy, he just doesn't give much of a shit. Hell's got one up on you when it comes to making him feel like crap, even if his temper is a thing that's easily spiked right now. It's just-- complicated. ]
You say that like it wasn't what I was already doing.
[ Okay no that's kind of a lie, Dean was just going to town because he could, but now he's got his gaze scouring the vicinity, looking hither and to and jabbing the next pumpkin that even dares to cross the invisible threshold that Dean's created in his mind, the one that deems that they've gotten too close to his little brother and deserve to die. ]
There's gotta be a source for the thing- something that's beefing it up. [ Dean's words come grumbled under his breath as he spears another pumpkin and shakes it off his blade, giving it a hard throw and watching the pieces splatter satisfyingly. ]
