Rachel
Mark and Jennifer seem to be in a panic and for good reason. It appears their daughter Rachel has gone missing and all signs point to the idea that she's disappeared into Mekiv Caverns. They're asking anyone for help finding her and bringing her back home.

Minor Quests

Performance Anxiety
➤ One of the traveling troupes in Domina has lost one of their main actors, who's run away because of stage fright. (He's actually the replacement for a sick actor.) They don't have anyone they can pick up so soon, so they're asking anyone if they'll help track their actor down.
➤ Reward: 50 Lucre and a free show

Urn Mistaken
➤ Up on the Domina town billboard, someone is offering a reward to help them catch a swindler. He sold their younger siblings a clearly busted vase with the lie that it's magic. Catch the swindler so that they can have some strong words with them.
➤ Reward: Homemade strawberry cookies and an actually nice vase from the swindler's stock, assuming you can find anything not supremely flawed

Get the Powder
➤ One of the stall owners in the marketplace of Domina sells refined paraylsis powder. However, to get that powder, they need it from the caps of Mushbooms. Usually they have a guy go to Mekiv Caverns for it, but he got his leg broken, so they're looking for other people who will go instead.
➤ Reward: 10 lucre for each cap, with a bonus of a very small pouch of paralysis powder if enough caps are brought

Showbiz Scuffle
➤ A musical troupe in town thinks a rival troupe is sabotaging their stuff: instruments, clothes, etc. They want someone to do a stakeout and catch the jerks, since they've just bought new instruments to replace the old sabotaged ones.
➤ Reward: Some old fighting gauntlets, decent protective boots (hopefully they fit), and an Aura enchanted pendant

Skyfire and Zenyatta are planning to build some sort of greenhouse/hill garden/house thing somewhere around home. Likely place is off to one side of the orchard, but that IC planning thread is still in progress.

It won't be done any time soon, and they likely won't be moving out of their rooms for a good long while. There might be some kind of message board note going up soon from Skyfire asking about where to get materials and offering to trade or something. (Just as a heads up since I'm not sure how gathering items for something that large will work/take.)

That location definitely works!

If they want to get materials for the greenhouse, it would be possible to get everything from shopkeepers in Domina (and soon to be added Lumina). However, wood could also be gotten from the trees in Luon Highway although it can be difficult to get the twisting wood into proper planks.

Skyfire is still a bit 'gun shy' about going into town because of personal reasons (which he will be working on ic) and lack of local currency, but good to know the option is available.

What will end up being made isn't your traditional greenhouse so... Have a link to a picture that was kind of the base for the idea.

Take away the walkways, add glass to the 'holes' and add a living space in it as well, then you have a rough idea of what's being planned. (I need to find my sketch book and really do an actual picture, but... @@)

Respond here if you have an artifact you would like to use, or are interested in searching for an egg!

To use an Artifact, respond here with what artifact that you are using and in what location you are using it in (for example, Home or Domina). If you want to specify a direction (east, west, etc), feel free to, or otherwise I'll simply put it in whatever nearest space is available.

Eggs can be found in any location besides Home, usually in areas that are quiet and secluded. To find an egg, respond here with the location you are searching in. Results are randomized, so there is a possibility that you might not find an egg at all.

Can I get a backdated egg roll for Luon Highway and an egg roll for Mekiv Caverns during the quest? This beastmaster needs some beasts.

For his Luon Highway roll, Domri will have the fortune of running into a Reptile Egg. After a few days, it will hatch into a Rattler Boa- around the size of his forearm at first but will rapidly grow if cared for properly.

Unfortunately, during Quest-time, it doesn't seem like any eggs are able to be found in Mekiv Caverns. It's quite possible that all the recent commotion has chased away any breeding beasts out of the area for a short while.

Skyfire isn't looking on purpose, but he's been making trips to the Mekiv Caverns and poking around the Luon Highway area, scrounging for scrap metals and whatever odds and ends happen to catch his eye that don't belong to anyone. So feel free to flip a coin or something if it has to be narrowed down to one area?

While traveling through Mekiv Caverns, Skyfire will come upon an Odd Egg! If brought back to Home, within a few days, it will hatch into a Springball- an odd creature with a small flat lower body with feet and a much rounder spring-loaded top where its eyes are. It's rather small even when full grown, especially when compared to Skyfire, only the size of a human toddler, but it keeps up well enough.

I think Zen has the lantern which is an artifact. I don't think he knows how to use it to have it do something 8|;;

Fortunately, using it isn't very hard. All Zenyatta has to do is keep it out and, no sooner than he is out of the caverns or on the outskirts of some other area like Home, does it light up suddenly as if of its own accord.

From within the small flame space, fireflies begin to pour out- first only a few at a time, much like when Hope herself had first lit it, but then soon more and more, coming out by the hundred in a brilliant swarm of light. Their calling seem to be off into the distance, an event that lights up a sky that surely wasn't so dark a few minutes ago. A certain number of them seem to flow toward the ground, forming a shape of sorts, perhaps, that is difficult to see from Zenyatta's position.

After a moment, the rest converge down onto it, a whirl of fireflies that seems to reveal a city- brick by brick, building by building, until it's visible in the distance, dark purple buildings illuminated by the gold of their lights burning brightly.

And the fireflies slowly scatter, fading away like they never existed at all, leaving the lamp in Zenyatta's position fragile and easy to break if he's not careful.

Do your best to do Quests with other players, since quests are meant to be done with interaction in mind. Plot and communicate with one another. Major Quests are a bit more open to having a decent sized party! If your character isn't the most social sort, feel free to work with others to figure out how to get them involved.

Both of Rachel's parents are hurrying around Domina, asking for help from anyone who will stop long enough. Mark is quite obviously the more panicked one, but both him and Jennifer will be able to talk about a note Rachel left talking about going down into Mekiv Caverns. If anyone wants to thread with either of these NPCs, let me know.

Since no players tagged into this quest for the last quest round, this quest is being reused. Once enough people have shown an interest in this quest, a log will go up for it with top levels both for freeform exploration and hunting down Rachel.

If Rachel is successfully found, then there's good news: she's found something while in Mekiv Caverns that might be useful...

Do your best to do Quests with other players, since quests are meant to be done with interaction in mind. Plot and communicate with one another. Unlike major quests, minor quests are meant to be more relaxed. Think of them like meme prompts in a way- you're free to flesh them out as you like, within reason. (For example, do not make a quest giver a secret runaway princess from foreign lands.) If you're not sure about something, don't be ashamed to ask!

Since Zenyatta is currently in possession of an artifact from his last quest, I'm looking to do some minor quests. (However, he can also help in a fight, so if more fire power is needed, I can offer him for the boss fight and have his lob orbs. However, it's not a must for me to have him participate.)

The minor quests I'm most interested in are: Performance Anxiety, Get the Powder, and Showbiz Scuffle
