Welcome to gameofmana! Thank you to everyone who is willing to participate in this tiny experimental game/musebox of mine. Starting from today, I'll be letting people app in for a week or so before I put up the starting IC log for the game. Feel free to spend that time getting to know each other or mentioning this to your friends. It's still in the stupid early stages, but right now I'm looking at video games, gender, and masculine identities in gaming cultures, with a focus on the formative years up through the hearings of the 1990s. May change, though; early dissertations are like that.

That sounds like an awesome subject to research. I hope I'll be able to read it one day! I may ask you more about the PhD life, I've always debated whether or not to pursue one.
