♪ Our house ♪ in middle of this tree ♪ our house
Who: Everyone
What: The first morning of an adventure begins.
Where: Home
When: Day 1
Other: Be courteous and warn for any of the usuals in your thread subject title if it gets to that point.

You wake up to a serene and idyllic morning.
Outside, a pleasant glow from the sun fills the room including the small crannies in which the beds are tucked. All windows have been latched close, but it's easy to see a gentle breeze ruffling the leaves of branches which loom overhead. Faintly, bird song can be heard from outside. In this place, it'd be a simple matter to close your eyes again and drift back to sleep.
There's simply one problem: this is not where you last went to sleep.
Waking up properly will display not only how the picturesque and cozy little room stands out in stark contrast to where you should be, but that you are sharing this space with someone else. Depending on things, they might be very mundane or very... unusual. Either way, they seem just as bewildered as you are. The good news is that at least all the things you immediately had on you at the time are right nearby the foot of your bed along with what seems like a small gift- a small pouch of some sort of coin. (500 Lucre, although that might not be immediately realized anytime soon.)
Exploring the rest of the house shows it to be otherwise quite empty, except for some writing utensils and paper in what appears to be the study along with basic kitchen tools in, well, the kitchen. There's no food, however, and no decoration. Venturing outside onto the grounds reveals an expansive but not particularly well tended estate including another building that is fairly run down. Attempting to venture down the path from the front door out into the world reveals... well. Nothing. It's a fruitless endeavor.
However, not for long.
Hajime Iwaizumi will be the one to find what appear to be a few discarded children's toy blocks. The Colorblocks immediately seem off in some way, strange even as they should seem inconspicuous. Something about them will compel him to pick them up. The nature of this apparent toy will not be obvious until he ventures near the edge of Home himself. A sound, almost like distant bellchimes, will start to emit from the Colorblocks.
When exposed to the air, suddenly they emit a glow and shoot off into the sky with all the brilliance of a falling star. Its trail is both noticeable and easy to follow, curving an arc through the sky until it falls some distance away... and its impact bursts an aurora of colors through the distant and dimmer sky, encircling the site. As the whirlwind of color fades, what appears to be a town can be just made out...
That is the town of Domina.
Some OOC notes:
➸ Prior to the activation of the Colorblocks, the only books which will be filled out in the Study will be "Artifacts" and "Visitors".
➸ After Domina has been unlocked and some characters have explored the town, "People" and "Locations" will be filled out in the Study as well.
➸ To see who your character is initially rooming with, check the Home page. These rooming assignments are not permanent or mandatory by any means, and characters can change them whenever. Officially letting me know will be present and explained in the next mod post coming in a week's time, but for now we can play it relaxed and loose. Just don't burn down the tree in the meantime.

"I am in agreement. I have not been able to channel energy or pass into the Iris since I awoke here. Both are abilities I can readily do where I am from. But a past injury of mine has also been repaired. It is fortunate for I would not have been able to leave my bed without it."
Not without incredible and embarrassing difficulty. The first thing he did trying to leave the bed was fall to the floor. "Do the whispers sound friendly?" Perhaps they are responsible some of the changes.
no subject
Thinking about the whispers, Thrall listened for a brief moment before nodding. "They seem... curious, to why we are here, if I can so readily surmise. This world seems wild, unformed, but..."
He made a thoughtful face. "Perhaps I am overthinking it. Not all whispers of the elements are so readily interpreted."
no subject
If they are not responsible for bringing them to this place, maybe they may know of entities who could. And Zenyatta is one for being nice to others in general. He would like to be friends if possible.
"Have you been to the study yet? Not all the books are blank."
no subject
"I have not yet, but I will go there after I dine. It seems like the next place to go after all. May I also ask a question? I have naught seen a race like yours before, outside the Gnomish inventions or the creations of the Titans. Would you be so kind to enlighten me?"
no subject
"So you have Titans as well... though I think the Titans I know differ." The Titans are giant mechas that had their peaceful purpose turned to warfare during the Omnic Crisis. However, they were not created by gnomes.
Swedish Dwarves on the other hand...They are more like very big tools and not very big beings."But returning to your question, I am an Omnic."
no subject
"An Omnic. I see, quite the name for such a interesting sounding species," said Thrall with a nod. "Well then, you have a friend, Zenyatta, in Thrall."
no subject
"And you have a friend in me."
no subject
no subject
Without knowing what Thrall's world is like, this seems like an explanation that could be grasped easier. Zenyatta has answered enough questions about what he is to know that there are huge gaps in technology among those present.
"But there are still those who strive to make the world better."
no subject
"My world is similar. So many undiscovered wonders, the echos of great beings resound in my world. And tensions flare between the Alliance and Horde at great cost." He explained.
"But like your world, there are champions, heroes, who rise up to defend the world from its troubles. Champions of the Alliance and the Horde, and both strive to save Azeroth time and time again."
no subject
"It saddens me that there is so much conflict in both worlds, but I am glad that there is also hope. I believe the connections we make with one another are what will truly bring peace and understanding in the end. 'Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects.'"
no subject
He smiled. "The Pandaren have a similar saying too, that the smallest stone can shine the most majestic of the fish."
no subject
Zenyatta wonders if he is being too literal with the saying or if there is something lost in translation. Translation, what an interesting thought. He understands more than one language, but what are the chances all these different worlds speak the same language? They can understand each other without difficulty. How mysterious.
no subject
"Perhaps our worlds are more similar in many regards?"
no subject
"Perhaps so." Zenyatta looks up to the tree they sit by. "Have you ever seen a tree of this size? I do not think one large enough to house us all exists in my world. Not a natural one."
no subject
"While not a home, there lays a tree called Nordrassil, grown by Illidan Stormrage thousands of years ago. Over it rests a magic pool of water that was drawn from the Well of Eternity. Nordrassil, as well as its sister world tree Teldrassil, are both Night Elf trees in a sense. Teldrassil would be the closest thing to this tree, as it is big enough to host an entire city in the branches, so overgrown the canopy is that whole temples to Elune are built."
no subject
He mulls over the names Thrall gives for the trees. "Is there a tree called 'Yggdrasil?'" The name is similar to the others.
no subject

"It would be interesting to read up on."

It is something that Zenyatta would volunteer to do if such tasks do occur. He does not have the same needs as others do, so he has more time for things such as this. And checking all the books does take a lot of time.
no subject
Chuckling, Thrall added, "And it gives us more reason to explore this world in its entirety."
