[Log] Waking up in strange places...
Who: Skyfire, anyone that finds him, and Zenyatta (The hazards of shared rooms)
What: Waking up in a strange place is stressful, a rude awakening even more so.
Where: Home. Floor 3 room 4 to be specific. Also other places.
When: Mid morning.
Other: Skyfire is about 12 feet long, and seems to be organic at first glance. He's really Cybertronian(robotic/mechanical) with a (very realistic) organic seeming appearance. He's given in and just refers to himself as a 'dragon' however, unless someone says something about it.
At Home, Third Floor, Room Four:
Anyone who is still asleep, wouldn't be for much longer as a yelp of surprise echos down the halls followed by the sound of something large hitting the floor with a loud thud. Skyfire wasn't expecting to come to awareness in a bed inset into a wall... one that was too small for him as well...
Someone coming to investigate the noise would find an unusual sight as they entered the room. What looked to be a 'smaller', serpentine dragon, with red wings and a white body, sprawled face first on the floor, tail end still mostly on the bed, pillows caught on it's horns and blankets wrapped around one hind leg and a wing.
Skyfire might have been small for a dragon, but trying to fit twelve feet of a dragon onto a bed made for a person of, what at most was close to six feet...
...He looked utterly ridiculous, feathers ruffled and somewhat dazed.... having had a fight with the bed linens and lost.
Anywhere Else:
Skyfire decided he needed to know more about this place that he'd ended up in. Still feeling out of place and somewhat uncomfortable, he's decided to look through the public areas of Home and go wandering around outside.
((ooc: Pick a place, I can roll with wherever you choose.))

But he does not have time to dwell on his missing roommate. A crash disrupts his thoughts, and Zenyatta rushes (as fast as he is able to) upstairs to the source of the noise. He is surprised that his search leads him to his room. He is a little stunned to see a large dragon tangled up in bed sheets.
"Are you all right?" he asks as he walks closer, footsteps clacking on the ground.

While he didn't say it, but he also wanted to know why nearly every scanner and instrument in him was shut down as well. Not having many left working in the first place, it was a bit worrying as if much more had been disabled he would have offlined. Being aware of your inner workings was both a blessing and a curse.
Shaking his head to get a better look at whoever it was and noticing the mechanical look of Zenyatta he adds. "...and what's going on?"
Earth hadn't managed anything even close to complex mechanical items yet, certainly no mechanical people, and he doubted this was a Cybertronian, so this was more than a little worrying and puzzling.

"I am Zenyatta, and this world is called Fa'Diel." He continues coming closer, arms held up to show he means no harm. "I will answer what I can, but please, let me first assist untangling you. I imagine that is not very comfortable."
Near Zenyatta's bed, a plant stirs and lifts their pink blossom-like head toward the commotion. "Ah, and over there is Bothi. They are quite a sleepy flower and able to sleep through much. Good morning, Bothi."
no subject
"I would appreciate both the help and the explanation... This is clearly not where I settled down to rest. You would also be quite right that this is less than comfortable."
The stirring plant caught Skyfire's attention, and he looked quite curious about the little... creature? It was a plant, but it moved like an animal? He'd never seen such a thing before. It appeared that this place held as many, if not more surprises than earth... and he'd not even been here part of a day yet.

The pillows are dropped to the floor, a few feathers floating into the air. The sheets are next to be carefully removed. He works fast so that sheets soon join the pillows. "How are you feeling now?"
no subject
"That sounds like something I would very much like to investigate later. It sounds fascinating."
Being released from the tangle of sheets, had Skyfire falling the rest of the way off the bed in a rather ungraceful heap. It takes him a moment to get himself into a less ruffled position on the floor, but he's glad to be untangled.
"Less tied up at least." It was a poor joke, but he tried. "Thank you for the assistance..." Skyfire looked at the too small bed in the wall nook. "... Am I right to guess that by where I woke, this is supposed to be where I'm supposed to stay?"
no subject
"If you wish. I do not think there is anything keeping you here if you desire to reside somewhere else. There was a man who shared this room with me, but I have not seen him for some time. I hope he is all right."
There were no signs of any wrong doing or strife between them, so Zenyatta has no clue as to the fate of the Outsider.
no subject
"Should I perhaps find a different location anyways? If this space belongs to someone else..."
Now that he was upright and able to tell that there was nothing obviously dangerous or aggressive towards him in the room, he realized that he'd not yet given his name to Zenyatta.
"Forgive my lack of manners. It has been some time since anyone has actually spoken to me without either trying to attack me, or running from me screaming..." He's clearly had some poor luck making friends before his rather surprising awakening here. "My name is Skyfire."
no subject
Like to signal that the Outsider will not be returning to this place. Zenyatta gives a light sigh to ease his own troubling thoughts. Then he chuckles.
"Though, I hope others would have aided you upon your arrival if you had arrived in another room."
no subject
"If you don't mind me staying... Though if I do go somewhere else, I will likely find somewhere I can modify to my own tastes..." Looking at the too small bed he adds "... and to my own size."
He can't help but chuckle at Zenyatta's comment. "With my luck I would have ended up in an empty room." Shifting to get up, Skyfire starts looking around the room with a more measured gaze, trying to get a better idea of how he'd actually be able to use his part of the room and making sure he won't step on anything belonging to Zenyatta. His sleeping arrangement was going to be interesting, then again the floor was likely the easiest place for him to rest.
no subject
The only time he had laid down in his bed thus far was wen he awoke in it upon arrival. He otherwise sits on the floor or on a pillow when in the room. (He would be hovering if he could.) Bothi enjoys being wherever as long as they get to stay undisturbed for as long as they like. Zenyatta also does not have much in the way of possessions. He has the money given to him and his nine orbs. They lay idle in a drawer.
no subject
"Though, ah, you wouldn't happen to know if there is a source of either raw or scrap metal around here somewhere?" When Skyfire had crashed on earth and his systems had been reconfigured, the change to having to eat metal and minerals was something he'd had to learn to live with, even if it had taken a long time.
no subject
However, cables? An organic being does not really have cables unless they are a cyborg.
"... I do not. That might be something to ask the townspeople of." Zenyatta puzzlement is in his voice, and he inclines his head slightly. "May I ask you a question about your physiology?"
It should also be obvious that Zenyatta will not care if Skyfire is mechanical, being one himself.
no subject
Zenyatta's puzzled tone of voice and question made Skyfire chuckle just a little. "I think I can guess, and the answer is, No. I am not an organic..." He then frowns and adds "Or at least I don't think I am. I never did figure out everything that my structure reformat altered when I crashed..."
no subject
Mentally, Zenyatta reminds himself that he needs to meditate and organize his thoughts. It would do much to help the budding homesickness within him, to accept and then proceed to move forward. It would not do to dwell on the discord when he can find harmony. But he does miss home and the work he was doing there. The people he was with.
"I do not mean that I am uneasy around the others who inhabit this place. They are have been very kind, and the townspeople have been too. If you wish, I could ask in your stead or introduce you, so they know you to be a friend."
no subject
Skyfire had mostly given up on homesickness long before his sudden awakening here, but still, he would miss some of the things and places from his world eventually. Then again, he wouldn't miss being alone all the time, so it was a toss up.
"An introduction or even some forewarning to the locals would be most welcome... My appearance and size has seemingly done me few favors in making friends with many native inhabitants in the past." A pause "I may have made an incorrect assumption on scale however. I assumed that I have been reduced in size due to the nature of this building and size of the furnishings, however..."
Looking around the room, then between Zenyatta and himself, Skyfire asks cautiously. "How large are the locals here?"
/Jedi handwaves height of the townspeople
In all, he's trying to say that Skyfire should have little to fear. He has faith in the townspeople. They did not treat him with any distrust or even discomfort despite being made of metal and wholly unlike the technology available.
These are not the heights we are looking for... XD
"Well, at least I'm hopefully less intimidating at this size..." At 12' and a bit(3.68m) currently, he's less than about half of his normal size. He gives Zenyatta a wry look. "I've not had the best of luck making friends with any of the organics where I came from..."
With a little huff he adds "When one resembles a predatory species and your head is more than half the size of an average adult's body... Well, I've found it rarely matters how calm or kind I try to be, large groups tend to over react when they find me in the area." His disappointment and hurt in how he's been viewed prior, isn't too obvious in his voice, in fact he hides it quite well, but it's still there. "So I'll take any help I can get."
Move along
Zenyatta motions to Bothi who has since come closer to Skyfire while they had conversed. Bothi looks (though they do not have any visible eyes) curiously at Skyfire, tilting their head slightly in a mimic of Zenyatta's own gesture. They take a few steps even closer on their vine legs and extends another vine with the intent to lightly poke Skyfire's side. Bothi does not seem to be scared, merely inquisitive about this new being in their room.
no subject
Skyfire smiles at the little plant creature when they poke at him, and cautiously moves one of his paw-like hands (claws retracted) over for the little one to investigate. "Nice to meet you Bothi." Skyfire isn't sure what to make of Bothi, but still thinks they are rather cute.
no subject
Bothi gladly investigates and lightly wraps a vine around one of Skyfire's fingers, almost like they are comparing "hands." Given time, Bothi may take to climbing upon Skyfire like they do Zenyatta. And then napping.
"I only ask that you do not become disheartened before you have the chance. You have made two friends already."
no subject
Bothi wrapping a vine around one of his fingers was a little unexpected, but cute too, and Skyfire kept his hand very still. He didn't want to spook them or accidentally cause any harm. While he'd very much like to pick up the small creature, Skyfire knew better since not everyone liked to be held.
At the mention of being friends, Skyfire smiles at Zenyatta, careful not to show any of his teeth. "It is hard to become disheartened when someone is so welcoming. Thank you."
no subject
Bothi will make the choice for Skyfire. With a lack of discouragement, Bothi works to climb up onto Skyfire to get a better look. They've seen no reason to fear the large dragon, and if Zenyatta is at peace, then so is Bothi.
"You are welcome. However, I may need to apologize for Bothi's behavior. I often let them climb on me, and they seem to think everyone will allow that."
no subject
Skyfire just laughs as Bothi climbs up on him, clearly not bothered in the least by the little ones adventure seeking curiosity.
"So long as Bothi doesn't try to go near my mouth or get under foot when I try to walk, it's fine." His horns would make an excellent place for Bothi to climb and perch on after all, even more so if they kept the local birds from doing the same.
no subject
"Ah. Bothi. Please behave yourself up there, and Skyfire asks you to get down, do so."
no subject
"It's fine... Only, please don't let me forget Bothi is up there?" Skyfire chuckles softly. "It's not like I can see my own horns unless I have a mirror." Or at least that's where Skyfire assumed Bothi was at the moment.
"I'm going to have to remember to check for stowaways when I leave the room." He's teasing, but half serious at the same time. He'd hate for Bothi to get stranded somewhere because they hitched a ride and got left behind somewhere.
Speaking of leaving the room "What can I expect here? Clearly the local plant life has a few surprises..."
no subject
"There are a few books in the study that become updated with new information about the people and creatures that exist in this world. If you feel up to it, I could show you where it is."
no subject
"I would be very grateful if you could. One can never have too much information after all."
no subject
"I will also show you the way outside of the home, where you can stretch out fully to your heart's content."
[[ OOC: End around here? I'm not entirely sure which parts of the books are at what point. ]]
no subject
Skyfire smiles gently and when Bothi starts to get down from his horns, he shifts his body so the little one wouldn't have to make any massive leaps or jumps to reach the floor.
"That would be wonderful, thank you Zenyatta."
((ooc: Sounds good to me.))
